Sales Manager Agricultural Fencing

Top Agricultural and Construction Fencing Manufacturing firm seeks Sales Manager Agricultural Fencing.

To grow regional sales of fencing by managing territory and channel relationships across KwaZulu Natal, Swaziland, and Eastern Cape. The role involves both direct selling to farmers and developers, and indirect selling through retailers and distributors.

Non-Negotiables (We will check):

  • BEE: Strong preference for BEE candidates
  • 5 years Field sales experience into the agricultural or construction sector
  • 3 years Experience selling directly to farmers
  • 3 years Territory and channel management
  • 1 year Retail or distributor sales experience in rural or regional areas
  • Hunter mindset - Proven prospecting, cold outreach, and closing skills
  • Self-managed, resilient, driven to win

What the person must be able to do:

  • Personally manage key customer relationships and close field-based sales
  • Manage distributor and retail store relationships to drive regional volume
  • Prospect and develop new business across the KZN, Swaziland, and Eastern Cape region
  • Identify customer needs and match them with appropriate fencing and hardware solutions
  • Generate quotes, overcome objections, and close deals in a target-driven environment

Key Job Deliverables:

  • To grow regional market share and revenue in the agricultural and construction sectors
  • To develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline through prospecting and fieldwork
  • To develop strong retail and distribution channels across the region

Qualifications & Background work experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Agriculture, or Construction
  • Sold fencing or similar agricultural products into both direct and indirect channels
  • Personally closed sales with farmers, contractors, or rural developers
  • Supported junior reps or led a small territory team
  • Managed rural territories and built successful distributor or channel relationships
  • Advantageous: Experience with barbed wire, welded mesh, nails, or related hardware products
