Sales Executive – Heavy Commercial Vehicles (SMH)

Job Overview

Primary responsibility is to build and maintain a strong sales pipeline. Identify key business opportunities and segmented prospects, drive truck sales, and build relationships with customers to meet or exceed annual quotas and increase company revenue.

Responsibilities

  1. Plan to meet sales targets and budgets.
  2. Identify new business opportunities, prospect potential business both corporate and private within the geographical area or as allocated by manager.
  3. Maintain and develop existing customer database.
  4. Accomplish daily expected call rates.
  5. Demonstrate vehicle of customer's choice.
  6. Verify financial arrangements by introducing the customer to the F&I consultant.
  7. Ensure correct handover of vehicle after the vehicle is prepared.

Customer Service

  1. Attend to walk-in customers and telephonic inquiries promptly and efficiently.
  2. Ensure proper follow-up of all potential buyers by implementing and monitoring a prospecting and sales control system according to agreed procedures.
  3. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  4. Maintain the company's corporate image and reputation and protect and develop the company's brand.

Administration

  1. Complete all relevant documentation accurately according to company procedure.
  2. Handle trade papers and vehicle to pre-owned department according to procedures.
  3. Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  4. Collect monies due to the company upon delivery of vehicles.

Product and Business Knowledge

  1. Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills.
  2. Keep abreast of all motor industry trends by reading and self-study.
  3. Attend all sales meetings and product/business updates.

Qualifications

Education & Experience: Solid experience (±3 years) as a Sales Executive in Heavy Commercial Vehicles operations. Knowledge of the Mercedes-Benz brand, processes, and systems. Proven track record with retail experience is critical, especially in the automotive industry. Driver's license (Code 10).
