Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Executive to join our team, focusing on premium Italian products in the retail sector. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with high-end products, maintaining and expanding our client base within Pretoria. You will primarily work from home, managing sales to retail stores and traders. This position requires regular travel within the Pretoria area, as well as bi-monthly meetings in Wynberg, Johannesburg.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development: Proactively identify and target potential clients, particularly retail stores and traders. Build and maintain strong relationships with current customers.
Account Management: Ensure excellent customer service by managing existing accounts, addressing queries, and providing product education.
Merchandising: Oversee product displays at retail outlets, ensuring premium products are positioned attractively to maximize sales.
Product Promotion: Present and promote high-end Italian products to prospective buyers, emphasizing the quality, freshness, and exclusivity of the items.
Reporting & Meetings: Attend two in-person meetings in Wynberg per month to report on sales activities, share market insights, and collaborate with the management team.
Market Research: Keep up-to-date with market trends, competitors, and customer preferences, using this information to inform sales strategies.
Negotiation & Closing: Confidently negotiate pricing, contract terms, and sales agreements with retail clients and traders.
Travel: Regular travel within the Pretoria area to visit clients and conduct face-to-face sales meetings.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a sales role, preferably within the retail, merchandising, or FMCG industry.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in working with high-end or premium products would be advantageous.
Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline.
License & Car: Valid driver's license with reliable transportation (car allowance and fuel provided).
Work Environment: Ability to work effectively from home, with the discipline to meet sales targets and manage schedules.
Meetings: Willingness to travel twice a month to Wynberg, Johannesburg for in-person meetings.
