SALES EXECUTIVE CONSTRUCTION


Overview: To drive sales growth and foster strong partnerships within the construction industry by engaging key stakeholders. The role demands a blend of good sales acumen, technical proficiency, and exceptional interpersonal abilities to build and maintain impactful relationships.


Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong connections with contractors, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders in the construction industry.
  2. Product Knowledge: Must have good knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and services they sell to effectively advise clients and address their needs.
  3. Sales Strategy Execution: Identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and following up to convert them into sales.
  4. Project Support: Collaborating with clients to provide tailored solutions for construction projects, including offering recommendations, technical guidance, or custom proposals.
  5. Market Analysis: Monitoring industry trends, competitor activity, and market demands to adapt their approach and stay ahead in the market.
  6. Negotiation: Preparing and presenting quotes, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
  7. Post-Sale Service: Ensuring customer satisfaction by following up on orders, addressing concerns, and maintaining a positive long-term relationship.
  8. Team Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams, like logistics or technical support, to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.

Requirements:

  1. Civil Engineering qualification with good understanding of technical drawings.
  2. Must be in possession of a valid unendorsed driver’s license.
  3. Must have own vehicle.
  4. A sales/marketing qualification would be advantageous.
  5. Experience having worked in the construction industry will be beneficial (Site Agent or similar).
  6. Preference will be given to non-smokers.

Remuneration: Negotiable package around R25k plus fuel allowance and commission.
