Description Our client, in the Manufacturing, Wholesale and Retail Space is currently looking to add a Sales Consultant / Representative to their team in the Southern Cape; George.

A great opportunity to join a sales team and grow within this expanding national business.

Salary : R12,500 CTC, per month plus incentives.

Requirements:

  • Matric.
  • Certificate Sales or relevant fields (NQF 5).
  • Up to 3 years as a Sales Representative or similar role within the Retail environment.
  • Computer Literacy (Basic MS Office; and SAP, ERP Systems and other job-specific software systems)
  • Knowledge of Sales principles, practice and procedures.
  • Communication skills (both verbal and written)

Responsibilities:

Sales Operations

  • Identify and secure new sales opportunities to meet targets.
  • Manage client relationships, generate leads, and negotiate deals.
  • Monitor market trends and competition for strategic positioning.
  • Develop and evaluate sales strategies for effectiveness.
  • Track sales performance and provide reports.
  • Expand and maintain client base.
  • Attend meetings, training, and sales events.
  • Manage customer accounts and analyse sales data.
  • Introduce marketing strategies and host promotional events.
  • Assist in credit applications and debt collection efforts.
  • Ensure company assets (vehicles, equipment) are properly maintained.

Stock Control

  • Coordinate with the warehouse for stock availability.
  • Assist in stock forecasting and consignment processes.
  • Monitor customer buying patterns for stock planning.
  • Manage stock replenishment and claims.

Compliance

  • Follow company policies and procedures to ensure integrity.
  • Identify risks and report concerns to management.
  • Promote compliance with regulations to avoid wasteful expenditure.

Customer Service

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and employees.
  • Address and resolve customer issues effectively.
  • Conduct product training and updates for customers.
  • Support customer service efforts, including updating customer information.

Cost Control

  • Ensure correct pricing structures and monitor profitability.
  • Optimize company resources to reduce costs.
  • Report deviations from budget limits to management.
