Description

Our client, in the Manufacturing, Wholesale and Retail Space is currently looking to employ a Sales Consultant to their team in the Western Cape, George.

Requirements:

  1. Matric.
  2. Certificate in Sales or relevant fields (NQF 5).
  3. Up to 3 years as a Sales Representative or similar role within the Retail environment.
  4. Computer Literacy (Basic MS Office; SAP, ERP Systems, and other job-specific software systems).
  5. Knowledge of Sales principles, practices, and procedures.
  6. Communication skills (both verbal and written).

Responsibilities:

Sales Operations

  1. Identify and secure new sales opportunities to meet targets.
  2. Manage client relationships, generate leads, and negotiate deals.
  3. Monitor market trends and competition for strategic positioning.
  4. Develop and evaluate sales strategies for effectiveness.
  5. Track sales performance and provide reports.
  6. Expand and maintain client base.
  7. Attend meetings, training, and sales events.
  8. Manage customer accounts and analyze sales data.
  9. Introduce marketing strategies and host promotional events.
  10. Assist in credit applications and debt collection efforts.
  11. Ensure company assets (vehicles, equipment) are properly maintained.

Stock Control

  1. Coordinate with the warehouse for stock availability.
  2. Assist in stock forecasting and consignment processes.
  3. Monitor customer buying patterns for stock planning.
  4. Manage stock replenishment and claims.

Compliance

  1. Follow company policies and procedures to ensure integrity.
  2. Identify risks and report concerns to management.
  3. Promote compliance with regulations to avoid wasteful expenditure.

Customer Service

  1. Maintain strong relationships with clients and employees.
  2. Address and resolve customer issues effectively.
  3. Conduct product training and updates for customers.
  4. Support customer service efforts, including updating customer information.

Cost Control

  1. Ensure correct pricing structures and monitor profitability.
  2. Optimize company resources to reduce costs.
  3. Report deviations from budget limits to management.
