Job description

We are seeking a Business Development Manager for a permanent role based in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 / equivalent with MS Office experience, especially Excel
  • 5+ years sales experience, preferably from the logistics industry
  • Ability to generate sales leads and close deals
  • Good communication skills and able to work under pressure
  • Valid drivers

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Development of new business through prospecting, qualifying and closing deals
  • Prepare tenders, reports and presentations; and follow up on leads
  • Ensure follow ups by sales teams and maintain / retail client relationships
  • Exceed sales objective and achieve targets consistently
  • Weekly reports and ensure pipeline is updated
  • General internal administration including weekly stats and commission sheets
  • Learn new product knowledge and keep abreast of competition services
  • Ensure effective and ongoing communication between sales teams
  • Respond and assist on sales queries

Salary: R35000.00 per month
