Job description
We are seeking a Business Development Manager for a permanent role based in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 / equivalent with MS Office experience, especially Excel
- 5+ years sales experience, preferably from the logistics industry
- Ability to generate sales leads and close deals
- Good communication skills and able to work under pressure
- Valid drivers
The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Development of new business through prospecting, qualifying and closing deals
- Prepare tenders, reports and presentations; and follow up on leads
- Ensure follow ups by sales teams and maintain / retail client relationships
- Exceed sales objective and achieve targets consistently
- Weekly reports and ensure pipeline is updated
- General internal administration including weekly stats and commission sheets
- Learn new product knowledge and keep abreast of competition services
- Ensure effective and ongoing communication between sales teams
- Respond and assist on sales queries
Salary: R35000.00 per month
