Business Development Executive - Sales Specialist

Cape Town, South Africa

R30000 + Commission Scheme + Healthcare

UK based e-commerce website offering daily deals seeks a business development executive to call companies based in the UK and sign them up to sell their products on the site. You will be making a minimum of 80 B2B calls a day. This target-based role offers great commission for achieving KPIs. Ideally, we are looking for someone who is very tech-savvy, has worked on a CRM, and has B2B sales experience, preferably with experience in onboarding clients in a Merchant Sales Arena, and on an online platform where goods are sold.

Our client is a huge home name brand in the UK and seeks South African business developers to expose their brand and product on their platform, which is a lifestyle catalogue with massive discounts on products such as home appliances, beauty and leisure, as well as home decor, travel, and so much more to the UK consumer base.

This massive opportunity presents itself to be paid commission in pounds, and since they have been voted as one of the top companies in the UK to work for, it is no doubt due to the remuneration the sales teams earn, with some earning over R70 000 pm.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Business development and cold call 50 to 150 businesses daily.
  2. Deliver compelling presentations and negotiations.
  3. Engage with new prospective clients.
  4. Create appealing deal structures and price points.
  5. Handle objections effectively.
  6. Negotiate with merchants at all levels.
  7. Manage relationships and grow your client base.
  8. Maintain a professional and confident representation of the company.
  9. Consistently achieve sales targets and KPIs.

Other responsibilities include:

  1. Actively calling targeted businesses with the ultimate aim of signing fabulous merchants.
  2. Creating excellent pitches, presentations, and proposals and negotiating to ensure a mutually beneficial deal is created for the merchant and our growing customer base.
  3. Providing clients with relevant information, especially in response to enquiries about products and services.
  4. Continually establishing client relationships and building a strong rapport to enable you to deliver excellent customer service and further develop our clients' outstanding reputation.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent command of English in a neutral tone.
  2. Well-groomed and presented; preference given to ages 30-40.
  3. 5 years+ experience in tele sales, call centre, appointment making, direct marketing, cold calling in an e-commerce environment is more desirable.
  4. Proven 3-5 years of business-to-business sales via the telephone.
  5. Graduates welcome; minimum Grade 12.
  6. Reside in Cape Town and willing to work in the office.
  7. The type that hits targets repeatedly.
  8. A real business mature professional.
  9. A quick thinker and a confident communicator.
