Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sales Consultant in Western Cape, South Africa. The Sales Consultant will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, providing energy consulting services, conducting sales consultations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and effectively communicating energy solutions. The role involves working closely with clients to understand their energy needs and developing tailored solutions to improve their profitability and reduce reliance on state utilities.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of energy-efficient technologies, including, solar PV systems, LED lighting and smart meters (preferred).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish long-term client relationships.
  • Proficiency in conducting site audits and developing project proposals.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and driven to succeed
  • Valid driver's license and reliable own transport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate new leads through various channels, including cold calling, canvassing, networking, and other strategic business development activities.
  • Effectively present the company's products and services to potential clients, emphasising their unique benefits and value propositions.
  • Conduct comprehensive lighting and solar audits at client sites to evaluate energy needs and identify potential savings.
  • Develop and submit tailored project proposals that align with individual client requirements and expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions to ensure up-to-date tracking and reporting.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets established by the company to drive revenue growth.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing client inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify and implement process enhancements to improve project efficiency and effectiveness.
