Sales Consultant

Sales: Part time programmes: The role of a career consultant for the part time programmes involves relationship building, researching the market and related products, and presenting the product or service in a structured professional way through face-to-face marketing. B2C sales involve direct selling to the consumer or end user as well as small medium enterprises.

Duties & Responsibilities

Sales activities include:

1. Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails.
2. Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new enrolments.
3. Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries.
4. Acting as a contact between the company and its existing and potential customers.
5. Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales.
6. Gathering market and customer information.
7. Representing the company at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations.
8. Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy.
9. Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions.
10. Recording sales and order information and reporting to the direct campus manager/sales director and national sales manager, or entering figures into a computer system (CRM).
11. Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
12. Gaining a clear understanding of customers' needs and requirements.
13. Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations.
14. Attending team meetings and sharing best practices with colleagues.

Skills

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
• Course consultant must also be willing to work on a flexible schedule (when required).

• Exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
