Company: PERI Formwork Scaffolding (Pty) Ltd

Summary Role: To manage PERI business (customer, projects, turnover, discount) within a defined area or on a specified project and to maintain and build new customer trading relationships. To grow PERI market share within your geographical area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that customers are dealt with professionally and efficiently in the yard and apply the PERI Sales Way process in identifying new and managing existing customer portfolio.
  2. Retain customers and secure relationships with key decision-makers to achieve key supplier/business partner status: Acquire-Extend-Retain.
  3. Analyse geographical sector within own region's clients' projects and acquire new clients by demonstrating knowledge of PERI products and their use within the rules and regulations concerning PERI products.
  4. Acquire and track a detailed pipeline of all available projects within the region of operation and responsibility to maximise growth potential of all opportunities.
  5. Close deals effectively by communicating payment terms clearly to customers and evaluating customers' creditworthiness, with assistance from the manager and finance department where necessary.
  6. Provide customers with relevant information and arrange site and other necessary training through the Technical Training Manager.
  7. Meet and exceed financial targets by managing all financial, technical, legal, commercial, and logistical problems with clients.
  8. Accurately forecast rental and sales figures and update the CRM system daily on which the company bases its business decisions and forecasts.
  9. Measure profitability by customer and effectively plan time allocated to each customer accordingly.
  10. Analyse drawings and develop preliminary concepts for formwork and shoring solutions using PERI products, discussing these concepts with the manager and internal design teams for the development of drawings and material lists for projects to provide customers with the most cost-effective formwork solutions.
  11. Create quotes off quantity lists using PERI Centrio, work with the estimator/manager and team to submit tenders, follow up to win business, and provide excellent service to customers, ensuring that payment terms and conditions are clear to customers at outset.
  12. Manage own projects effectively from client requests to order, return of material in rental stock, and payment of invoices.
  13. Take responsibility to strip sites when non-payment issues are unable to be resolved, providing accurate information and working closely with the operations department.
  14. Continually improve own industry, product, and competitor knowledge.
  15. Accurately populate CRM on a regular basis with new projects.

What you'll need to be successful:

Qualification and experience required:

  1. Matric / Grade 12
  2. Trained in Selling Skills
  3. Experience in selling within the Construction Industry
  4. Good experience in all aspects of formwork and scaffolding solutions
