We are seeking an organized and strategic Sales and Marketing Manager to drive the advertising and sale of our products by leveraging our competitive advantage in the rail industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a unique sales strategy, creating engaging advertisements and promotional material, formulating pricing strategies, managing key accounts, and achieving sales and marketing objectives.
The Sales and Marketing Manager will represent the company's brand and lead initiatives to increase product awareness by analyzing market trends, monitoring competitors, and identifying industry opportunities. To succeed in this role, the candidate should possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with a solid understanding of sales and marketing strategies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote and sell existing products while introducing new products to the market.
Analyze market data, prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts, manage expenses, and ensure sales targets and strategic objectives are met.
Research and develop marketing opportunities and plans, understanding consumer needs and identifying market trends to suggest improvements.
Gather and analyze market data and trends to draft insightful reports.
Implement innovative sales plans and strategies.
Maintain relationships with key clients through regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new opportunities.
Stay updated with industry developments by attending educational events, conferences, and workshops, and maintaining professional networks.
Conduct market research to anticipate future market trends and analyze data for strategic decision-making.
Drive innovative business initiatives and identify process improvements to support recommendations while managing associated risks.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Project Management, or a related field (advantageous).
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
Strong reporting skills with the ability to present clear and concise findings and recommendations to senior management.
Experience in compiling and submitting tenders and attending tender briefing sessions.
Strong customer engagement skills, with the ability to present effectively at an international level.
Experience in pre- and post-sales services.
Proficiency in improving business processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Strong networking skills and relationship management with external stakeholders.
Experience in managing social media profiles.
