Sales and Branch Manager

Join a dynamic team as a Sales and Branch Manager, reporting directly to the Divisional Executive. Our client is a leader in Packaging Solutions, dedicated to delivering exceptional products and services to their clients.

Role Overview:

This role combines leadership and sales expertise. The successful candidate will oversee branch operations, manage a small team, and drive sales growth in the region. Responsibilities include stock management, customer relations, health and safety compliance, and proactive sales activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the branch team, including Stores and Distribution functions.
2. Coordinate stock and deliveries from Pinetown to the warehouse and oversee on-site stock management.
3. Ensure branch compliance with H&S, ISO, and Food Safety standards.
4. Maintain property security and oversee maintenance activities.
5. Manage key accounts, source new business, and develop strong customer relationships.
6. Present professional price proposals and meet/exceed sales budgets.
7. Report on sales performance weekly and align with production, planning, and design departments.
8. Minimize obsolescence costs through effective stock management.
9. Address and resolve customer requirements and complaints promptly.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Proven sales experience (4-6 years) with a track record of closing deals effectively.
2. External sales expertise (minimum 4 years).
3. Team management experience, ideally in stock or logistics.
4. Strong computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint; SAP experience is advantageous).
5. Understanding of the rigid plastic packaging market is a plus.
6. Sales and marketing qualifications preferred; Matric is the minimum requirement.
7. A valid driver's license (Code 08).
8. Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
