About The Role

As a Maintenance Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in making sure every corner of the hotel shines. From keeping our guests’ rooms in perfect condition to ensuring all systems are working efficiently, you’ll be our go-to problem solver—helping us provide a seamless experience for everyone who stays at WinStar World Hotel.

What You’ll Do

1. Deliver Outstanding Guest Service: You’ll always be ready with a smile and a solution, treating guests with warmth and helping address their maintenance-related needs to keep them happy and satisfied.
2. Be a Jack-of-All-Trades: Assist with preventative maintenance, from replacing ceiling tiles and light bulbs to patching vinyl—ensuring everything runs smoothly and to high standards.
3. Take Care of the Pool: Maintain the hotel’s pool by adjusting chemicals, cleaning filters, and monitoring pool maintenance logs—because who doesn’t love a sparkling pool?
4. Tackle Systems & Repairs: Help keep the hotel running by performing minor repairs on HVAC systems, electrical setups, plumbing, and other key areas.
5. Refurbish & Beautify: Paint, repair, and restore furniture and fixtures to keep guest rooms looking fresh and inviting.
6. Safety First: Be vigilant in identifying safety hazards and security concerns, ensuring a safe environment for both guests and staff.
7. Work as a Team: Pitch in where needed, help out your teammates, and be part of a supportive and collaborative team environment.

1. Hands-On Experience: 2-3 years in a maintenance role or related experience in a hotel or similar setting.
2. Technical Skills: Comfort with HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
3. Problem Solver: You love figuring out solutions to everyday challenges—whether it’s fixing an AC unit or patching up a wall, you’ve got it covered!
4. Team Player: A positive, team-first attitude is key to this role. You’ll work closely with other departments to ensure everything stays in tip-top shape.
5. Tech-Savvy: You’re comfortable using computers for maintenance requests, logging work orders, and keeping track of equipment repairs.

1. Must be able to bend, kneel, reach, and lift heavy loads.
2. Ability to work in varying temperatures (hot and cold), both indoors and outdoors.
3. Must be able to work on your feet for long periods of time and respond to visual and aural cues.
4. You might also be exposed to secondhand smoke and various environmental factors in and around the hotel.
