Road Safety Audit Team Leader – Infrastructure Development (Johannesburg & Various Sites)

A leading multi-disciplinary engineering and consultancy firm is seeking a highly experienced Road Safety Audit Team Leader to join their team in Johannesburg, with project work across various sites.
In this role, you'll take the lead in road safety audits, feasibility studies, and project implementation strategies for civil infrastructure projects. As a Road Safety Audit Team Leader, you'll provide expert technical input in assessing road safety, identifying potential hazards, and recommending improvements to ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices.
Qualifications: Professional Engineering Registration (Pr Eng / Pr Tech). Registered with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) or any other international body recognized by ECSA (Washington Accord, Dublin Accord, Sydney Accord). Registered with Environmental Assessment Practitioners of South Africa (EAPASA) or equivalent.
Experience & Skills: Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in road safety audits, infrastructure development, and civil engineering projects. Completion of at least two road safety audits within the last three years, with a minimum of 5 CPD credits in road safety courses. Strong knowledge of the design, supervision, and implementation of civil infrastructure projects, particularly related to roads and stormwater. Proven experience in contract management, including frameworks such as FIDIC, GCC, JBCC, and NEC3. Exposure to client interfacing, project planning, and financial controls. Proficiency in design and project management software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Project. Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to prepare high-quality technical reports.
Added Advantage: Experience dealing with National Roads Services. Knowledge of municipal infrastructure funding models. Successful experience in proposal writing, marketing, and public presentations.
