About the job Retail Sales Representative

The Retail Sales Representatives will be responsible for overseeing all retail outlets and will be required to visit each retail outlet once a week. The successful incumbent's goal is to acquire new business and manage our existing retailers while analysing sales trends and reporting.

Responsibilities (not limited to):

1. Visit retail locations, including chain stores and other outlets.
2. Ensure stock is displayed and priced correctly, well-stocked, and maintain high merchandising standards.
3. Display promotional materials as permitted.
4. Check and record expiry dates.
5. Document any damaged stock.
6. Place orders for the retailer if not already done.
7. Address retailer inquiries about products and their unique selling points.
8. Assist retailers with purchasing decisions and stock selection based on sales history and customer behavior.
9. Retrieve stock from sales floor or inventory locations as allowed.
10. Handle special orders for discounts or promotional stock with management approval.
11. Collect outstanding payments if needed, particularly from smaller retailers.
12. Prepare and send weekly and monthly sales reports.
13. Actively work to grow sales and the B2B customer database.
14. Help with scheduling and organizing store promotions.
15. Assist with setup of store activations on Fridays or Saturdays.
16. Communicate and report to marketing and management teams.

Requirements and Skills:

1. Strong ability to cold call and pursue new business opportunities.
2. Eager to learn and contribute to a growing business.
3. Willingness to travel 80% of the time (based in Gauteng, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga).
4. Strong administration and reporting skills.
