KEY ACCOUNTABILITY 2: RETAIL OPERATIONS

Ensure that all retail operations activities are consistently executed according to Standard Operating Procedures.

  1. Ensure that all operational activities support an efficient, easy Customer experience
  2. Ensure that facilities, equipment, tools, systems, security, and physical environment are conducive to optimum performance
  3. SOP’s in place
  4. Adherence to SOP’s
  5. OHSA adherence
  6. Legislative Compliance
  7. Audit Reports
  8. Quality of on-site work
  9. Housekeeping
  10. Customer experience
  11. On-site cost control
  12. Ensure that Stores SOP’s are well and consistently communicated
  13. Facilitate appropriate technical/functional training
  14. Ensure that Store managers have the required tools to manage well
  15. Facilitate effective engagement between Stores & HO
  16. Ensure that the disaster recovery plan is regularly refreshed and communicated as appropriate
  17. Ensure that the necessary occupational health & safety regulations are adhered to
  18. Submit weekly & monthly reports as required
  19. On-site loss management

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY 3: PEOPLE

Ensuring that the performance and productivity of people is optimized.

  1. Ensure that stores are well staffed and that contingencies are in place
  2. Ensure role clarity and effective goal-setting
  3. Drive in-store Training Programme to build front-line capability
  4. Monitor the application of the ‘HR Value Chain’ & adherence to people-related SOP’s
  5. Submit weekly and monthly reports as required
  6. In-store Product knowledge
  7. Level of Customer service
  8. HR Metrics
  9. Retention
  10. Role accountability
  11. Performance & productivity
  12. Adherence to HCM SOP’s, including BCEA, LRA, EEA, WCA, etc.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY 4: FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

Ensure that the key financial indicators reflect good stores health.

  1. Manage financial performance parameters, goals, and targets
  2. Drive Country plan for Area
  3. Drive revenue, quantity, margin, and operating income targets
  4. Submit weekly and monthly reports as required
  5. Ensure that the relevant regulatory/statutory requirements are adhered to e.g. VAT, Employee PAYE, etc.
  6. EBITDA
  7. ROGA
  8. Income Statement health
  9. Balance Sheet
  10. Audit Reports

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY 5: SALES & MARKETING

Growing market share through the retention of existing customers, acquisition of new customers, and the maximization of their spend.

  1. Brand management
  2. Key customer relationship management
  3. Public relations
  4. Ambassadorship
  5. Implement promotional initiatives as required
  6. Ensure that VM standards are adhered to
  7. Ensure that all stores reflect the correct quality standards of cleanliness, tidiness, safety, visual impact, and good housekeeping
  8. Customer feedback
  9. Customer retention
  10. Customer base growth
  11. Productivity of product segments
  12. In-store product knowledge
  13. Overall visual impact of stores

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Grade 12 or equivalent
  2. 2 – 3 years experience in a similar position
  3. Driver’s license code B
  4. Must have your own reliable vehicle
  5. Tertiary qualification (Advantageous)
  6. Sales/Retail/Business Development experience
