Restaurant Manager | Sandton | Coffee Shop

We are looking for an experienced RESTAURANT MANAGER to run the operations at a busy coffee shop located in Sandton.

Core Responsibility: The Restaurant Manager plays a key supervisory role in the food service industry, providing leadership and decision-making skills for the restaurant.

Restaurant Manager Duties Include:

1. Assist in recruiting, hiring and training all restaurant staff, including servers and hosts.
2. Scheduling employees to ensure shifts have proper coverage and are within the required working hours for the week.
3. Streamlining the restaurant processes to improve the guest experience.
4. Monitoring restaurant finances, including sales targets and management of expenses.
5. Enforcing food handling regulations and other guidelines to increase customer and staff safety.
6. Promoting the restaurant and strategising on ways to bring in more customers.
7. Handling customer complaints closely with the Floor Manager.
8. Completing necessary paperwork, such as sales, inventory and staff log reports.
9. Submitting monthly payroll to the Operations Manager timeously to ensure that staff are paid on time.
10. Analysing stock to ensure that purchases remain within budget.
11. Managing equipment maintenance.
12. Taking accountability of the store as a whole to ensure a smooth operation.

Requirements:

1. At least 3 years of experience managing a restaurant or a busy coffee shop.
2. Hospitality qualification will be an advantage.
3. Focused and motivated.
4. Good communicator.
5. Great training skills.

Shifts: 06:00 – 14:00 | 14:00 – 22:00 | 22:00 – 06:00 (when other management team member is off)

Salary: ZAR 20k CTC
