Job description

My client is seeking a motivated and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead their team and oversee the daily operations of our establishment.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, and the ability to drive business growth while maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise, train, and motivate a team of front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
  2. Create staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage for smooth operations.
  3. Conduct regular performance reviews and foster professional development.
  4. Customer Service: Ensure a superior dining experience for all guests, addressing and resolving any complaints or issues promptly. Monitor and maintain high standards of service quality and guest satisfaction. Act as the face of the restaurant, building strong relationships with regular patrons.
  5. Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including inventory management, supplier relations, and cost control. Implement and enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations. Manage reservations and optimize seating arrangements to maximize revenue. Monitor budgets, control expenses, and track financial performance. Analyze sales trends and implement strategies to boost revenue and profitability. Collaborate with the owner or senior management to set and achieve business goals.
  6. Marketing & Promotions: Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns and special events. Promote the restaurant through social media and other platforms to attract new customers. Ensure that branding and messaging align with the restaurant's identity.

Key Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  2. Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house processes.
  3. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  4. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  6. Proficiency in restaurant management software and basic financial reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Certification in hospitality or restaurant management.
  2. Experience in managing a luxury or fine-dining establishment.
  3. Familiarity with wine and cocktail programs is a plus.
