Restaurant Manager who will be responsible for the efficient operation and profitability of the Restaurant as well as In-Room Dining and the Pool Terrace at the Lodges & Spa.
The Restaurant Manager will work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and Head Chef.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 tertiary qualification in Food Services Management / Hospitality
- 3 years previous Restaurant Manager experience in 5 star or luxury establishments
- Wine certification course or similar experience alignment
- Previous Gourmet Guide and Eat Out aligned fine dining experience preferential
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
- Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele
- Excellent food and wine knowledge
- Excellent ability to pay attention to detail
- High stress tolerance and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent planning and organizing skills
- Reliable, flexible, adaptable & self-disciplined
- High standards of ethical conduct
ROLE:
- Coordinate daily operations of full portfolio
- Deliver superior service and maximize guest satisfaction
- Engage efficiently and accurately to guests' needs and complaints
- Work alongside Sommelier compiling the wine & beverage list and recommending wine to guests
- Ensure wine lists in rooms are updated
- Staff recruitment & effective management (including rosters and overtime)
- Responsible for stock purchasing, managing stock budget and flow, and working according to the budget
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
