Hire Resolve's client, a renowned hotel restaurant in Cape Town, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving profitability.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and quality control
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
Train, motivate, and mentor staff to deliver outstanding service and maintain operational standards
Develop menu items in collaboration with the culinary team and analyze sales reports to identify trends
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner
Monitor financial performance and take action to optimize profitability
Coordinate promotional activities and special events to attract new customers
Cultivate a positive and productive work environment
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field
Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role, with at least 5 years in the food and beverage industry
Strong understanding of restaurant operations and best practices
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for the hospitality industry
Knowledge of budgeting, financial management, and inventory control
Proficient in point-of-sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
