Restaurant General Manager - EE

An airport's Business Lounge requires a Restaurant General Manager to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a strong F&B background, good financial acumen, and sound management skills. They must also be energetic, passionate, and driven to succeed.

Responsibilities:

1. Managing a team of 10 staff members
2. Full HR management, recruitment, and training
3. Disciplinary procedures
4. Provide leadership and vision to subordinates
5. Uphold Team Spirit
6. Uphold and implement policies, procedures, regulations, and standards
7. Effective people development, leadership, and training
8. Budget forecasting and CAPEX
9. Budgeted profitability
10. Financial management
11. Ensuring profitability of the lounges
12. Financial control on all aspects of operations in the lounge
13. Adhering to strict food cost control budgeting whilst maintaining the highest quality of product delivery
14. Stock and asset management
15. Quality control / safety and security
16. Administration management
17. Key Accounts Management
18. Assisting in upholding market leader status in Hospitality
19. Guest satisfaction - Ensuring guests are satisfied at all times and in all aspects
20. Hygiene Audits – minimum target of 85%
21. Mystery shopper program target of 85%

Minimum Requirements:

1. Grade 12
2. Hospitality Management qualification preferable
3. 5 years Senior Management experience gained in an upmarket F&B environment
4. Strong HR/IR knowledge
5. Computer literate with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel
6. Highly presentable
7. Excellent command of the English language with solid verbal and written communication skills
8. Proven ability to proactively analyse financial and economic data and proactively advise against potential risk
9. Proven exceptional track record of guest interaction and service recovery
10. Able to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, late shifts, and travel
11. Own transport
