Restaurant General Manager

Red Ember Recruitment is looking for a General Manager for a large trendy, up-market restaurant looking to hire a dynamic, hard-working individual who is passionate about what they do.

POSITION INFO :

Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Implement and follow the company’s code of conduct.
2. Maintain dress code standards.
3. Customer Service.
4. Maintain and sustain top service levels.
5. Manage / Discipline staff and their duties.
6. Assist in all areas where needed.
7. Opening and closing duties.
8. Food costing.
9. Developing business strategies.
10. Budget plans and managing them.
11. Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene, and health and safety legislation / guidelines.
12. Record keeping of stock.
13. Maintain quality standards of cleaning and equipment.

Requirements :

1. Matric
2. Postgraduate qualification in business management is advantageous
3. 3+ years of executive general manager experience.
4. Good knowledge of duties and procedures in a restaurant environment.
5. Computer knowledge (word, outlook, excel)
6. Knowledge of Pilot software.
7. Experience in large restaurants is beneficial
