Initiating and managing research projects related to digital transformation in collaboration with government agencies, including developing research proposals, securing approvals, conducting quantitative research and data analysis, and publishing findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
Contributing to the School's teaching offerings in data science and digital transformation by developing and delivering training modules, mentoring and supervising postgraduate students, and providing academic guidance.
Coordinating project activities to ensure timely and successful completion, working closely with the project lead, funders, partners, other researchers, and postgraduate students.
Assisting with administrative tasks related to the Lab's projects, including reporting requirements for funders and stakeholders, and participating in ad hoc activities and initiatives within the School.
Fostering a collaborative environment within the research team by sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues and students.
Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
PhD in data science, computer science, information technology, statistics, mathematics, applied mathematics, or a related field.
Proven experience in providing policy advice to government entities.
Proven experience in developing digital tool prototypes for policy advice.
Has published research in recognised, peer-reviewed journals as an author or co-author.
Proficiency in Python.
Exceptional quantitative research skills and proficiency in data science tools.
