RESEARCH TECHNOLOGIST: RESEARCH ASSISTANT
Duration: One-Year Contract
The South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to enable a Tuberculosis study to be conducted at Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital. This will entail recruiting and enrolling study participants, extracting data from clinical notes and capturing these into RedCap. The research assistant will also oversee the adherence component of the study, which includes providing information on ‘Wisepill’, an electronic adherence monitoring device, to participants, showing them how it works and stocking it with medication monthly. During these monthly visits, a depression screening tool will also be administered.

A salary in the region of R275 588 per annum, cost-to-company will be negotiated in accordance with qualifications and experience.
