RESEARCH SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Job Responsibilities

1. Interacts with the community beneficiary while playing a role in community engagement activities that include education (e.g., training, awareness raising, capacity building), research (e.g., data collection for monitoring and evaluation), and support (e.g., communications and stakeholder database) to ensure the preservation and integration of Indigenous knowledge systems into broader development initiatives.
2. Facilitates community engagements.
3. Facilitates communication between the community beneficiary, including traditional leaders, knowledge holders, and the research team.
4. Monitors and reports research progress in collaboration with the project coordinator and project leader.
5. Assists other projects within the Water Science Unit, when required.
