Research Architect

What You'll Do

1. Discover the latest materials, technologies, and systems in architecture and design.
2. Stay at the forefront of architectural trends and translate insights into actionable knowledge.
3. Curate and expand SAOTA/ARRCC's digital and physical knowledge library.
4. Maintain industry standards, including global and regional regulations, statistics, and competitive trends.
5. Collaborate with the Resource Centre and internal teams to cross-reference and validate materials, suppliers, and manufacturers.
6. Share research findings and foster engagement within the studio.

1. Conduct topic-specific research on architectural design, theory, history, and sustainability.
2. Develop technical content to integrate into manuals, guidelines, and templates, ensuring it aligns with SAOTA/ARRCC’s brand and standards.
3. Articulate and share research findings globally with impeccable accuracy and contextual relevance.

What We're Looking For

1. Master’s qualification in Architecture with 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
2. Strong technical knowledge of architectural materials, elements, and systems.
3. Experience in architectural research is a plus.
4. Exceptional communication skills in English (written and verbal).
5. Ability to produce polished, well-referenced documents within structured templates.
6. Proficiency in remote work, with access to a reliable 20Mbps+ internet connection.
