R12 + Monthly (Provident fund after 3 months + 13th Cheque)

We are seeking a Junior IT Technician for a permanent role based in Durbanville, Western Cape. Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

  1. Grade 12 with IT qualification
  2. 2+ years experience with CCTV, IT support, network issues, PABX, and infrastructure maintenance
  3. Must be physically fit
  4. Valid drivers and own transport
  5. Fluency in English & Afrikaans
  6. Based in the Northern suburbs
  7. Sober habits and good work ethic

Salary: R15 - R20 Monthly (Basic, fuel, company car, 13th cheque and annual increases)

We are seeking a Linux Engineer – Dev Ops for a 12-month contract role based in Sandton, Eastern Cape. Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps or System Administration role with a strong focus on Linux environments.
  2. Deep understanding of Linux operating systems (preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux or similar).
  3. Proven experience in developing and implementing automation solutions using Ansible.
  4. Hands-on experience with Red Hat Satellite for system management, patching, and provisioning.
  5. Experience with CI / CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  6. Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or similar.
  7. Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
  8. Understanding of networking principles and protocols.
  9. Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  10. Knowledge of security best practices for Linux systems and cloud environments.
  11. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  12. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Advantageous Skills:

  1. Red Hat certifications (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE).
  2. Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  3. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  4. Knowledge of other configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef).
  5. Experience with infrastructure testing frameworks.
  6. Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

  1. Infrastructure Automation: Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for provisioning, configuring, and managing Linux-based infrastructure using tools like Ansible.
  2. Configuration Management: Utilize Ansible playbooks and roles to maintain consistent and compliant system configurations across our environment.
  3. Red Hat Satellite Management: Administer and leverage Red Hat Satellite for patch management, software distribution, and system provisioning across our Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) estate.
  4. Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI / CD): Build and maintain robust CI / CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment of applications.
  5. System Administration & Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level support for Linux-based systems, including performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
  6. Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices and automation to ensure the security and compliance of our infrastructure.
  7. Monitoring & Logging: Set up and maintain comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  8. Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand their needs and provide solutions that enhance their productivity and efficiency.
  9. Documentation: Create and maintain clear and concise documentation for infrastructure, automation processes, and operational procedures.
  10. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Champion and implement IaC principles using tools like Ansible to manage infrastructure in a scalable and repeatable manner.
  11. Version Control: Utilize Git for managing automation scripts, configuration files, and infrastructure code.
  12. Problem Solving: Analyze complex system issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
  13. Staying Current: Continuously learn and adopt new DevOps tools, technologies, and best practices.
