Position : Mid-to-Senior CAD Draftsman Retail Shopfitting & Joinery Design

Location : Fully Remote (Preferably residing in Cape Town)

Salary : R400,000 - R600,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience)

Experience : 3-7 years in a similar role

Working Hours : UK hours (5 days a week)

Leave : 19 days annual leave + UK bank holidays

Role Overview :

We are seeking a skilled CAD Draftsman with experience in retail shopfitting and joinery design to work remotely for a UK-based company. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Autodesk Inventor 2024 and Autodesk AutoCAD 2024, producing high-quality technical drawings and ensuring designs are optimised for CNC cutting and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Create detailed technical drawings for retail shopfitting and joinery designs.
2. Work with designers and project managers to translate conceptual ideas into production-ready drawings.
3. Ensure accuracy and precision in all drafting work, including layouts, elevations, sections, and assembly drawings.
4. Optimise designs for CNC cutting and efficient manufacturing.
5. Maintain compliance with UK standards and regulations in all drawings.
6. Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure seamless production.
7. Review and revise drawings based on client feedback and project requirements.

Requirements :

1. 3-7 years of experience in a CAD drafting role within the retail shopfitting, joinery, or interior design industry.
2. Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor 2024 and Autodesk AutoCAD 2024.
3. Strong understanding of joinery design, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
4. Experience in CNC manufacturing processes and optimising drawings for production.
5. Ability to work remotely, manage time effectively, and meet UK working hours.
6. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
7. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams across different locations.
