Job description

An experienced Account Manager is required to join our team in South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for building their own pipeline to drive new business acquisition, while also engaging with senior executives to present tailored solutions that align with each client's unique context and goals.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • BUILD RELATIONSHIPS: Engage and build strong relationships with senior (HR) executives within medium and large enterprise businesses in South Africa.
  • PRESENT SOLUTIONS: Present the company's psychometric assessment solutions in a way that meets the unique needs of each potential client.
  • ATTAIN BOOKING TARGETS: Achieve annual booking targets by consistently meeting quarterly pacing and delivering successful outcomes.
  • PURSUE NEW LEADS: Pursue fresh leads among potential prospects, both proactively and responsively, within the assigned account territory. Additionally, initiate personal outreach efforts to engage key prospects.
  • CROSS FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION: Work closely with the regional sales team and cross-functional sales peers to share knowledge and develop best practices.
  • BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PLAN: Develop and take ownership of an individualized Business Development plan.
  • NEW PROSPECTS: Access new prospects within our target Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) to expand our customer base.
  • MENTORSHIP: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • ACCOUNT PLANS: Collaborate with the local SDR to create account plans that address the individual needs of clients sent through as leads.
  • CUSTOMER ALIGNMENT: Work with the customer marketing team to ensure campaign alignment with customer needs.
  • VALUABLE INSIGHTS: Offer valuable customer insights to inform product development of a best-in-class solution.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has:

  • BACKGROUND IN PSYCHOLOGY/HR: A background in Psychology or Human Resources would be beneficial.
  • RESULTS-ORIENTED APPROACH: A results-oriented yet collaborative approach is essential.
  • MID-MARKET EXPERIENCE: Familiarity with and experience selling to the mid-market segment is necessary.
  • COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent communication skills, particularly in virtual settings, are required.
  • SaaS SALES EXPERIENCE: Documented success in selling SaaS solutions is necessary.
  • FLEXIBILITY: Adaptability in fast-paced, evolving environments is crucial.
  • LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required.

Skills:

  • DEAL MANAGEMENT: Exceptional proficiency in deal management and forecasting.
  • BUSINESS ACUMEN: Strong business and commercial acumen is necessary.
  • COLLABORATION: Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders is essential.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • BASE SALARY: R480 000 - R525 400 per annum.
  • COMMISSION PLAN: Commission plan with OTC of 75% of base salary.
  • HOLIDAY TIME: 20 days per annum.
  • EMPLOYEE REFERRAL SCHEME: Fee available for successful referrals.
