Job Purpose

To acquire and deliver banking solutions to the high value client segment (i.e. SBS; Professional/ Financially affluent) by providing great client experiences and understanding client business and household banking needs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Acquire and deliver banking solutions to the high value client segment.
  • Improve client service through delivering relevant products and services according to client needs.
  • Maintain and build a portfolio of high value, complex clients.
  • Unearth client sales/solution opportunities and execute on these opportunities.
  • Undertake thorough needs analysis across all client spheres of financial influence.
  • Respond within agreed timelines to tasks and responsibilities.
  • Build and maintain effective professional relationships with high value profile clients.
  • Deliver banking solutions that meet client needs.
  • Understand client's business, personal, and household needs.
  • Build sound and sustainable client relationships and instil trust among clients.
  • Proactively engage clients in a relevant manner.
  • Collaborate with specialists to cross sell and create value based solutions.
  • Ensure work is completed to agreed principles, processes, and procedures.
  • Comply with risk standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Facilitate client compliance correctness in line with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to the improvement of policies, procedures, standards, and processes.
  • Understand the bank's risk and credit policy and manage client expectations.
  • Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced processes.
  • Comply with internal standard procedures to facilitate client requirements.
  • Support the achievement of the business strategy and objectives.
  • Identify training courses and career progression for self.
  • Ensure all personal development plan activities are completed within specified timeframe.
  • Share knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals.
  • Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives.
  • Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems.
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification
  • Business or Finance related qualification.
Minimum Experience Level
  • 5 years in a banking environment, with 2 years as a relationship banker.
  • FAIS accredited.
