Job description

Job Mission / Objective:
The Relationship Manager at Access Bank would be responsible for managing a portfolio of customers by attending to all transactional, lending, operational and credit/risk related functions of business customer accounts.

BUSINESS:

  1. Ensure Business Profitability and Growth in conjunction with the Operational Banker through retention, attraction, and expansion of customers in portfolio.
  2. Ensure approval of customer's lending needs are met in conjunction with the Operational Banker through high quality applications.
  3. Ensure that portfolio is 100% self-funded through the attraction of correctly priced deposits.
  4. Successfully close cross and up-selling opportunities received from Operational Banker and own sources. Distribute further leads to internal business partners.
  5. Achieve Non-Interest Revenue targets.

RELATIONSHIP AND CLIENT FOCUS:

  1. Client Engagement by conducting contacted amount of customer visits.
  2. Client Satisfaction by ensuring zero valid complaints from customers.
  3. Continuously improve turnaround times.
  4. Ensure no regrettable customer losses.

RISK FOCUS:

  1. Ensuring risk metrics stay within set parameters for the portfolio.
  2. Support the Operational Banker in all risk related credit issues by ensuring all applicable due diligence on an application is done in accordance to the laid down credit and risk policies and guidelines of the Bank.
  3. AML / KYC adherence.
  4. Market conduct/ customer experience adherence.
  5. Completion of all compliance training.
  6. FAIS adherence - general code of conduct.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVE:

  1. Self-development and development identified by manager.
  2. Coaching new staff and team involvement.
  3. CSI.

  1. Adherence to relevant policies and execution of relevant procedures.

Requirements:

Academic Knowledge:

  1. Relevant degree, FAIS RE5 competent.

Work Experience:

  1. Minimum 10 years general banking experience.
  2. 5 years as Relationship Manager in medium/large segment.
