Regional Warehouse Supervisor

The Regional Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for implementing controlling processes and a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods in his responsible area. Also responsible for the implementation of processes to efficiently manage the supply chain, maintaining consistency in regional warehouses to ensure customer satisfaction efficiently and effectively. Effective communication is key to the role.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and internal warehouse operations in responsible area.
2. Manage stock control and reconcile differences in Baan within his responsible area.
3. Oversee general upkeep of the warehouses in responsible area.
4. Coordinate and supervise the daily warehouse activities regionally.
5. Administer and execute warehouse policies and procedures.
6. Ensure warehouse staff operate within guidelines.
7. Ensure compliance to KPI’s and address non-conformance effectively.
8. Analyze inventory per warehouse and make recommendations.
9. Ongoing interaction with customers (Internal & External) – Managing expectations.
10. Ensure consistency in operations regionally.
11. Facilitate information exchange between internal and external parties for problem resolution.
12. Conduct daily, quarterly, and year-end stock taking.
13. Identify and initiate training requirements within the warehouse staff.
14. Generate and drive a positive working environment within the warehouse teams.
15. Ensure that the highest standard of housekeeping is maintained regionally.
16. Establish and enforce safety standards.
17. Coordinate security measures to protect warehouse property.

Education and Experience

- National Senior Certificate with a minimum of 4-5 years’ experience.
