Regional Manager | Western Cape | Apparel retail brand

Regional Manager Position available in the Western Cape with a well-known Apparel retail brand. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a logical thinker, and excellent organisational skills. The Regional Manager will be responsible for looking after five stores: Waterfront, Canal Walk, Access Park, and Cavendish.

Candidate must have at least 7 years’ experience in the retail industry in a senior position, as well as a diploma or degree in Management, Business, Retail, Marketing, or a similar tertiary qualification. Candidates must have a valid South African driver’s license and reliable transport. The Regional Manager will also act as a shift Store Manager.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Manage, motivate, recruit, and train all retail staff to optimise and sustain sales performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  2. Plan, forecast, and report on financial and business performance.
  3. Plan and manage brand, advertising, and promotional activities.
  4. Manage cash controls with staff and customer safety as a key priority.
  5. Manage stock levels, store appearance, and customer service to maximise profitability.
  6. Plan and manage new shop locations, layouts, and customer traffic flow to maximise sales, customer satisfaction, and company image.
  7. Manage costs and all factors affecting the profitable performance of the shop.
  8. Liaise with external agencies and authorities as necessary.
  9. Liaise with suppliers, merchandisers, and other partners as required.
  10. Manage upkeep and condition of all equipment and fixtures of shop premises.
  11. Manage health, safety, security, and emergency systems including staff capabilities.
  12. Maintain and develop market and competitor information, pricing, and tactics.
  13. Manage and maintain effectiveness of IT and other essential in-store systems.
  14. Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Must have Matric with a relevant tertiary education
  2. At least 7 years’ experience in a similar role within the retail industry
  3. Valid driver’s license with your own car
  4. Proficient in English
  5. Business and Commercial Acumen – Selling Skills
  6. Presentation and Negotiation skills
  7. Report Writing – MS Office proficient
  8. Leadership & People Management – Coaching
  9. Multitasking – Excellent time management
  10. Brand Activation/Promotion Skills
  11. Budget Management

Salary negotiable (salary dependent on level of experience).
