Regional Fast Food Manager
Job description
Responsibilities
- Ensure group compliance with guest experience survey programs
- Manage customer complaints: tracking and resolution within prescribed timeframes
- Communicate the company and brand strategy, focus areas and values
- Partner with Franchisor and internal departments to improve operations
- Ensure group compliance with 'Restaurant Operations Compliance Checks' carried out quarterly in each outlet by external food safety auditors
- Develop and drive a client centric culture within the group
- Set annual sales targets and budgets per outlet and region
- Manage, monitor and guide the regions to achieve business objectives
- Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities to grow revenue
- Find ways to grow sales by testing and adding additional sales layers
- Shrinkage control and loss prevention; direct responsibility for purchases P&L
- Ensure solid financial controls are in place and continuously improved to minimize financial loss to the business
- Conduct branch visits to ensure effective management and operation
- Improve policies and processes in line with organizational goals and targets
- Conduct sales and operational meetings weekly and monthly with Area Managers
- Ensure Occupational Health and Safety regulations are complied with
- Monitor operational results and ensure opportunities are actioned
- Enforce strict adherence of all staff to food safety standards
- Liaise with suppliers on service levels, delivery issues, raw product complaints and credits
- Oversee management compliance with stock ordering and replenishment
- Monitor, manage, and improve support services like Maintenance and Accounts to improve efficiency
- Manage local marketing budget spending in line with guidelines to ensure optimum return on investment
- Track performance of local marketing campaigns
- Site selection and approval; includes identifying new sites, relocations, or closures
- Lease negotiations with landlords for new sites and renewals
- Compile all information required in business economic model, new site submission, and presentation to investment committee
- Prepare yearly development pipeline including new builds, remodels, relocations, and closures
- Ensure all new projects are completed within required timeframes and budgets
- Manage repairs and maintenance budget and team
- Manage and develop subordinates
- Plan required staffing levels and management per branch according to business needs
- Approve and support recruitment and selection of area managers and branch management staff
- Implement and manage performance processes for the regions
- Provide coaching, oversee training, and provide counseling as required
- Ensure good industrial relations practices are followed
- Implement and manage employee compensation, reward, and benefits policy
- Ensure clear effective communication with all stakeholders
Requirements
- Relevant Degree or Diploma (B Com Business Management or similar)
- MUST HAVE a minimum of 5 Years Fast Food store based Regional Manager experience managing at least 3 Area Managers for approximately 15 branches
- 5 years Food Cost, Labour Cost and Cash / Stock Control Management experience
- Valid driver’s license - able to travel extensively
- Fully Computer literate - MS Office
- Advanced Excel skills
- Able to work outside normal work hours when required by operational requirements
- Good communication skills – both verbal and written with all levels of staff
- Good management and leadership skills
- Ability to multi-task efficiently
- Salary is subject to relevant operational experience and skill set
