Job Description

The Recruitment Specialist will undertake all hiring activities, from advertising open roles to interviewing candidates and closing hires. The Recruitment Specialist's responsibilities include connecting with potential candidates online and offline, screening applications, and supporting hiring managers. You will be responsible for evaluating candidates for roles of various fields and seniority levels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – TALENT ACQUISITION

  1. Build and report on quarterly and annual hiring plans
  2. Create and publish job ads in various portals
  3. Network with potential hires through professional groups on social media and during events
  4. Collaborate with hiring managers to set qualification criteria for future employees
  5. Screen resumes and job applications
  6. Conduct initial phone screens to create shortlists of qualified candidates
  7. Interview candidates in-person for a wide range of roles (junior, senior, and executive)
  8. Track hiring metrics including time-to-hire, time-to-fill, and source of hire
  9. Design, distribute, and measure the results of candidate experience surveys
  10. Train and advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques and assessment methods
  11. Host and participate in job fairs
  12. Follow up with candidates throughout the hiring process
  13. Maintain a database of potential candidates for future job openings

Qualifications

  1. Proven experience as a Recruitment Specialist, Recruiter, or similar role
  2. Hands-on experience with the largest job sites like Pnet and Indeed
  3. Knowledge of sourcing techniques on social media and niche professional websites like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter
  4. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, preferably Smart Recruiter
  5. Strong interpersonal skills
  6. Good written and verbal communication skills
  7. Team spirit
  8. Good understanding of Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration
