Key Responsibilities

1. Research, investigate, and report on employment trends, labor market policies, and economic developments across Africa.
2. Develop compelling, fact-based stories for Career Indaba Radio, ensuring credibility, accuracy, and depth.
3. Conduct high-profile interviews with industry leaders, policymakers, economists, HR executives, and professionals shaping the job market.
4. Monitor breaking news and emerging workforce trends, ensuring Career Indaba remains a leader in employment reporting.
5. Work closely with producers, editors, and researchers to deliver engaging, insightful, and thought-provoking news segments.
6. Report live from industry events, conferences, and policy briefings, bringing real-time insights to our audience.
7. Develop and deliver investigative reports, special features, and career-focused storytelling segments.
8. Leverage data, research, and expert analysis to create well-informed news content.
9. Produce and script high-quality content for daily news segments, talk shows, and Career Indaba's exclusive programs.

Who Should Apply

1. An experienced journalist, broadcaster, or reporter with 5 years in business, labor, employment, or economic reporting.
2. Exceptional storytelling skills, able to translate data and policy into engaging, accessible news content.
3. Deep understanding of labor markets, employment policies, and economic trends across Africa.
4. Strong interviewing skills, able to extract meaningful insights from industry leaders and policymakers.
5. A confident, articulate, and engaging on-air presence.
