Job description
Main job function
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
- Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
- Assisting in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
- Performing risk, value management, and cost control.
- Advising on legal, contractual, and commercial issues.
- Preparing and analyzing costings for tenders.
- Allocating work to subcontractors.
- Providing advice on contractual claims.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders within the construction industry.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or similar field.
- Minimum of 6-10 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the consulting industry.
- Ideal candidate will be professionally registered.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and quantity surveying software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be willing to travel to project sites as required.
