Quality Technician

Why do we need you?
Maintain safe conditions - ensure all safety guidelines are always followed strictly and maintain a clean and orderly environment in the laboratory.
Receive, sample, and analyze (physically and chemically) raw material, trial samples, and other internal samples and write a report where required.
Prepare samples for external tests.
Ensure all measuring equipment is within calibration period before use.
Ensure non-conforming product is segregated and its quality status clearly identified with reasons for non-conformity.
Raise NCR for non-conforming products and raw material.
Ensure all documents and records used are current and controlled.
Graphically present quality results on a weekly basis for Aerolite for LOI, micronaire, density, immediate recovery, and diameter.

Is this job for you?
The ideal candidate must have a ND : Chemistry or Chemical Engineering qualification and 2 years relevant experience within the lab environment.
Computer literacy and WCM experience for internal applicants are required.
This role calls for a person who is good at communication and analytical skills.
To make sure nothing is forgotten, the purpose of the role is to optimize lab procedures and produce reliable results that can be used for Process and Quality improvement.
