Our client is localizing the production of automotive press parts, they are poised to significantly contribute to the advancement of South Africa's automotive industry, fostering economic development and job creation in the region.
The purpose of this role is for the Quality Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day quality activities are achieved in all aspects of the production process. The Quality Team Leader will ensure that the specified quality standards and the inspection frequency of components are met.
REQUIREMENTS
Relevant Diploma in quality, Manufacturing, Engineering and related fields and related fields ISO certification
At least 5 years relevant Quality Assurance & Quality Control experience at a Team Leader level in Automotive or Manufacturing
Knowledge of Auto CAD, Poly Works Faro programs advantageous
Quality certification ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ITAF 16949
Basic auditing skills
Able to use measuring tools and knowledge of quality testing and requirements and use of various instruments
Knowledge of Microsoft applications, with intermediate Excel
Strong flair for Quality Administration and Reporting
Working Knowledge of Safety
An understanding of quality control procedures/systems and relevant legal standards
RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Control and Quality Assurance: Understanding of QMS is critical.
Reads and interprets Quality specification data with an understanding of company policies and internal controls.
Inspection of raw materials and components
Reporting quality incidents and non-conformances
Shopfloor patrol to ensure first off checks are available
Quality Inspection patrol and reporting on findings
Mentors, trains, guides, and provides knowledge and support to team members
Provide on-the-job training to ensure quality standards are met
Ensure non-conformance parts/materials are identified with hold labels and placed in quarantine
Ensure hourly and daily quality activities are completed and reported
Follow relevant Quality escalation procedures where required
Participates in Continuous improvement activities
Completing daily quality KPI reporting
Participate in 4M Changes (Man, M/C, Method and Material)
