Quality Food Safety & Environmental (QFSE) Manager

Are you an experienced Quality Food Safety & Environmental (QFSE) professional with a passion for compliance and continuous improvement? Our client, a global leader in the FMCG industry, is seeking a QFSE Manager to oversee and enhance quality, food safety, and environmental management across its manufacturing sites based in Durban.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the implementation and management of the Quality Business Plan for the plant, ensuring QFSE goals are met and exceeded.
2. Manage compliance with ISO 9000, ISO 14000, FSSC 22000, and HACCP standards and ensure adherence to legal and internal requirements.
3. Drive product and package quality through rigorous monitoring and control, ensuring that all ingredients, packaging, and products meet the highest standards.
4. Develop and lead continuous improvement programs focused on water, energy usage, waste, and recycling to enhance operational efficiency.
5. Foster a culture of quality by training, mentoring, and guiding the plant's Quality, Manufacturing, and Warehouse teams.
6. Collaborate with external stakeholders such as local regulators and suppliers to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and maintain strong business relationships.

Requirements:

1. A Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent).
2. ISO 9000, ISO 14000, FSSC 22000, and HACCP certification.
3. 5-8 years of experience in a quality role within the food manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
4. Strong understanding of quality management systems, environmental compliance, and food safety principles.
5. Proven leadership skills, with the ability to drive team performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
