Are you an experienced professional in quality control with a background in plastics manufacturing? We are seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to oversee the quality of products, ensuring they meet strict safety, reliability, and customer standards. Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control Planning & Inspection:
Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Conduct regular audits, inspections, and product testing to identify and rectify non-conformance.
Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and accurate quality control records.
Team Leadership:
Lead, train, and manage a team of QC personnel, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to company policies.
Conduct performance reviews, provide hands-on guidance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Manage team schedules, attendance, and adherence to workplace standards.
Customer Service:
Address customer inquiries and complaints related to product quality, working closely with internal sales teams to resolve issues.
Health, Safety, and Food Safety:
Uphold safety standards within the workspace and report hazards or incidents.
Ensure compliance with food safety principles, standards, and the company’s Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
Reporting and Administration:
Oversee daily audits, housekeeping standards, and ensure effective communication during shift handovers.
Provide reports and escalate issues requiring action to relevant departments.
Requirements:
Education:
Matric (Grade 12).
NQF Level 4 Supervisory Management Qualification.
Certificate in Quality Control.
Experience:
Minimum 8 years in the manufacturing industry, with strong exposure to quality control processes.
Skills:
Technical understanding of manufacturing processes, including equipment and raw materials.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
Attention to detail and proficiency in administrative tasks.
