The ideal candidate must have a BTech Degree or bachelor’s degree (BEng or equivalent) in Analytical Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and a Quality control/management qualification (advantageous). 3-5 years’ experience in a chemical/process/quality engineering position within a relevant industry. This role calls for a person who is good at communication, and project management experience will be advantageous.
The role’s objective is to develop and introduce Quality control and process improvements using the tools within the Q&PC Pillar linking through to step Zero. The primary objective will be to improve Product Quality performance KPI’s focusing on the key areas of Yield loss and Customer Complaints. The role will require involvement in WCM projects within the plant that links to Product Quality and take lead in raw material trials and be an active contributor to New Product Developments in the plant. To undertake these tasks in an efficient safe manner meeting with SHE legislation, company policy and Managers rules.
An integral purpose of this role is to be able to lead and mentor the team of Laboratory Analysts reporting into the department. The ability to utilise resources to gain maximum input to the Quality and Process system will be an essential role requirement.
