Qualified Electrician

Our client based in the Pietermaritzburg area is seeking a Qualified Electrician to join their team. The main duties will be to install, maintain, and repair solar systems for residential and commercial clients. The successful candidate will need to have prior hands-on experience with solar panel installation, wiring, troubleshooting, and servicing of solar energy systems.

Requirements:

• Trade Tested Electrician
• At least 2 years of experience working with solar energy systems
• Solid knowledge of electrical systems, solar technology, and wiring methods
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Health and safety compliance knowledge
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities:

• Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential and commercial properties
• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of solar systems to ensure optimal performance
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and specifications
• Ensure systems comply with safety regulations, codes, and standards
• Work with the project team to ensure successful project completion
• Provide excellent customer service and technical support to clients
• Keep up-to-date with the latest solar technology and industry developments
• Participate in training sessions as needed to maintain technical skills
