QA & R&D Manager

Position: QA & R&D Manager (Manufacturing Industry) - Durban

• Salary: R70,000 - R150, 000 CTC pm (Highly Negotiable)

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a QA & R&D Manager to oversee quality assurance, research & development, and supplier & customer management. If you have a strong background in quality control, electronics manufacturing, and R&D, this is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team!

• Minimum 7 years' experience in Quality, Manufacturing & R&D
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality assurance methodologies
• Experience in electronics manufacturing (SMT & FA)
• Advanced skills in MS Office and statistical analysis
• High-level negotiation skills and ability to liaise with suppliers at board level
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Six Sigma knowledge is advantageous

• Manage Quality KPI targets and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Oversee quality process management to maintain high product standards
• Conduct weekly Buyer Inspections and report findings
• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, including BOMs, EMC testing, and vibration testing
• Analyze quality statistics and implement countermeasures
• Develop and manage supplier contracts and relationships
• Ensure smooth production and shipment planning with internal teams
