Employer Description: The company undertakes a variety of building projects.

Job Description: Reporting to the Director, you will be required to do the following:

1. Measuring from drawings and compiling elemental estimates and cash flows and giving cost advice to clients.
2. Measuring from drawings and compiling BOQs.
3. Adjustment of project preliminaries.
4. Preparing tender documents on a JBCC contract.
5. Preparing tender adjudication and procurement recommendations.
6. Site, technical, and planning meetings.
7. Preparing valuations for payment certificates.
8. Preparing financial and contract status reports.
9. Ongoing site measurements during construction and issuing variation orders and distinguishing between schedule and non-schedule rates.
10. Checking and reconciling drawings and making adjustments necessary to suit As-Built piling final accounts.
11. Diversification to include energy, mining over and above construction consulting, property development, manufacturing, waste management, supply and distribution contracts as well as plant and equipment hire.

Business Plans and Proposals

Qualifications: B.Tech in Quantity Surveying or higher.

Skills:

1. Software skills: MS Excel, WinQSMS, Office, Dimension X.
2. Preparation of cost and progress reports.
3. Applying cost control measures during execution of work on site.
4. Preparation and agreeing final accounts.
5. Facilitation of mediation to resolve disputes between Main and Sub-contractors as well as Main contractors and clients.
