Purpose of the Job : Manage the maintenance of building services, including mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil aspects of each asset within the official investment strategy, and handle financial reporting, including budgeting.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial and Administration : Ensure major expenses are incurred as per budget to avoid variances and keep budgets up to date. Maintain general correspondence to keep Centre Management, Property Managers, Building Staff, and Tenants informed of work. Conduct regular building inspections to ensure contracted services are performed as per agreements. Provide related reports to Asset Managers, senior Property, Regional, and Asset Managers as required. Compile visual and cost reports or quotations for major expenses. Attend monthly portfolio meetings to report on variations, outstanding work, work in progress, and general items. Assist Centre Management or Property Management with day-to-day maintenance issues. Conduct regular stock control of goods, materials, and consumables. Comply with company procurement policy and other policies. Execute performance appraisals as required. Manage and maintain service contract audits annually or as required. Compile expense schedules, ops cost schedules, and national rates. Ensure office and building staff training, performance, and quality of work are continuously monitored and discussed with management.

Qualifications and Experience :
Qualifications : Grade 12 (Matric). Relevant diploma or degree related to Services, Operations, and/or Facilities Management and infrastructure management. Technical qualification will be advantageous.
Experience : Minimum of 7-10 years' experience in Property Services / Facilities Management or Operations. Understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling. Role requires traveling (sometimes across regions). Strong proficiency in relevant computer packages (MS Office) and software packages. Excellent attention to detail in respect of motivations, numeracy, and administrative accuracy.
