Project Manager - IT Infrastructure (Banking)

12 Month Contract role for skilled and seasoned Project Manager with experience in managing IT infrastructure projects gained from the Banking sector. Projects will include but are not limited to IT Infrastructure projects including Hardware, Software replacements, and upgrades.

Project Manager – Banking Sector (Banking: IT Infrastructure Projects)

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent).
• ITIL Certification (preferred) for IT service management.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) are a plus.

• 7+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in the banking sector managing IT infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience leading hardware, software replacements, and system upgrades in a banking environment.
• Experience working with enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, cloud migration, and cybersecurity.
• Strong background in vendor and stakeholder management, ensuring seamless delivery of IT infrastructure initiatives.

• Deep understanding of banking IT infrastructure, including core banking systems, data centers, cloud services, and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Familiarity with banking regulatory requirements, compliance (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001), and risk management.
• Experience with IT infrastructure lifecycle management, system integrations, and disaster recovery planning.
• Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), virtualization, and networking technologies.

• Leadership & Team Management: Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT engineers, security teams, and business units.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Experience managing relationships with banking executives, external vendors, and regulatory bodies.
• Budget & Risk Management: Strong financial planning skills to manage IT project budgets, risks, and timelines effectively.
• Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Ability to resolve technical challenges and ensure smooth infrastructure deployment.
• Change Management: Experience leading IT transformation and infrastructure modernization initiatives.

• Hands-on experience with cloud migration projects and digital banking transformation.
• Experience with large-scale system upgrades, software patching, and compliance-driven IT changes.
• Knowledge of emerging banking technologies, cybersecurity threats, and resilience planning.
