Accountable for implementing, refining, and training subordinate staff on Project Management end-to-end process, tools, techniques and governance.

Duties & Responsibilities

Project Management

• Lead and direct concurrent standard or complex projects.
• Engage with stakeholders to take projects from original concept through final delivery.
• Provide pre-sales support by working with sales teams to scope and cost a project solution.
• Manage the delivery of the projects through Project Managers, including rigorous scope control and change management.
• Manage escalations, acting as a single point of contact.
• Manage Project Managers to enable project teams to deliver against performance targets.

• Improve methods of carrying out work through on-the-job training.
• Ensure that workflow continues without interruption.
• Ensure efficient and effective performance and turn-around times.

• Manage and optimise project budgets within budgetary objectives.
• Identify and eliminate non-contributory costs.
• Ensure all legal, regulatory and client compliance has been followed to avoid penalties or fines.
• Issue Bill of Quantities (BOQ), obtain quotes and prepare Business Cases.
• Know project contracts in detail to avoid penalties; ensure understanding of penalty clauses.

• Undertake regular site inspections to ensure contractors comply with OHS Act standards.
• Ensure required risk assessment and safety file is on record.
• Ensure contractors provide Waste Management schedules.

• Built Environment related degree – BSc QS, Construction, Architecture.
