Job Opportunity: Project Engineer - Wind Power

Location: Northern Cape, South Africa

Join a leading Chinese company in the wind power industry as a Project Engineer and contribute to a dynamic project in South Africa. This role offers the chance to apply your expertise in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of wind power systems, while working in a collaborative and internationally focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee or participate in the installation and commissioning of wind turbine generator (WTG) equipment, including wind turbines, towers, and blades, along with preliminary system testing.
2. Develop and implement regular maintenance plans, conduct routine checks, identify and resolve equipment issues to ensure efficient operations.
3. Manage and maintain project-related documentation, such as technical specifications, drawings, and progress reports.
4. Ensure all construction activities meet quality standards and company requirements, including participation in inspections, audits, and resolving quality issues.
5. Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders, addressing challenges promptly.

Requirements

1. Proficiency in mechanical and electrical installation and commissioning processes for wind turbines or energy storage systems.
2. Ability to guide and supervise installation teams, ensuring compliance with technical and quality standards.
3. Clear understanding of quality control requirements for wind turbine (or energy storage) installation and commissioning.
4. Minimum of 2 years experience working on wind power (or energy storage) projects, with preference for those experienced in Envision turbines or with overseas project experience.
5. Fluency in English or Chinese is mandatory.
